Templeton Elementary Admissions Policy Templeton
Elementary is a public school that serves any student who lives within its district boundaries. Our district is bound by state and federal law and adhere to this policy for all of our district schools:
"No person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to unlawful discrimination on such basis under any educational function or student activity. Education services, programs, instruction and facilities will not be denied to anyone in Monroe County Community School Corporation as a result of race, color, religion, national origin, creed or ancestry, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or veteran’s status.”
Conditions for Participation:
All Templeton students, kindergarten through sixth grade, are eligible and will participate in the Primary Years Program. There are no tests or achievement requirements to gain access to our program. Admission into Templeton is based solely on the student’s district zone. Students must be registered online each year and provide proof of residence within our district boundaries.
Review and Access:
This policy will be reviewed as needed by the Principal, Assistant Principal, and IB Templeton Leadership Team. It is understood that this policy may need to be adjusted based on the requirements of the IB PYP, our school district mandates, and State of Indiana Dept. of Education requirements. This policy will be accessible to all stakeholders through the Templeton website.
