Student Experiences

Templeton is an International Baccalaureate school. The goal of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. In working toward this goal, the teachers have created a balanced Program of Inquiry with vertical and horizontal alignment across the grade levels. Curricular units are taught at every grade level (kindergarten through 6^th grade) throughout the year with inquiry driving the instruction. In keeping with the international mindedness of IB, students are introduced to and explore Spanish throughout the year. Templeton strives to be a balanced, inquiry-based, and internationally grounded school. We also have an outstanding music program. This is demonstrated in our wonderful grade-level programs produced annually along with our school choir that performs at numerous events throughout our community.
